Before You Book
Do you need a GP referral?
Not for self-pay. You can book directly and be seen within a week. Most insurers do require a GP referral and an authorisation number before your appointment, and the team can guide you through that.
When are clinics held?
- Monday: 8am to 8pm
- Tuesday: 8am to 8pm
- Thursday: 8am to 8pm
- Saturday: 8am to 8pm
What to bring
Any previous scans or reports you already have, a list of your current medication, and your insurance details if you are using them. Shorts are useful, as Mr Nahas will need to examine both knees.
Will I need a scan first?
Not usually. You may be asked to arrive earlier for an X-ray, and the practice manager will tell you in advance if so. Where an MRI is needed it can normally be arranged quickly, often within a week.
Where will I be seen?
At Circle Reading Hospital, 100 Drake Way, Reading RG2 0NE, with free on-site parking and easy access from junction 11 of the M4.
